The eRobota: Own Business grant programme provides non-repayable financial support to help entrepreneurs establish or expand micro and small businesses across Ukraine. Administered by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the initiative aims to stimulate economic recovery, encourage new enterprise formation, and foster job creation nationwide.

Grant funding ranges from UAH 100,000 to UAH 500,000, offering up to 100% funding coverage for eligible business activities. The programme operates on an ongoing basis without a specified closing deadline, allowing prospective applicants to prepare and submit their applications as their business planning progresses.

What is funded

The initiative funds the creation and operational development of microbusinesses, small enterprises, and startups across various industry sectors. Eligible domains include clothing manufacturing, food services, bakery and cafe operations, dry cleaners, auto repair shops, and technology ventures.

Eligible expenditure categories encompass the acquisition of machinery and equipment, raw material purchases, and operational lease payments. Additionally, funding may cover marketing and advertising services, commercial concession fees, and equipment leasing essential to launching or scaling business operations.

Who can apply

The call is open to Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and older who are registered as individual entrepreneurs or operate through legal entities. Aspiring entrepreneurs planning to establish a brand-new commercial venture are also eligible to participate.

Applicants must complete a free online training course prior to submission. In addition, candidates are required to operate within Ukraine and prepare a structured business plan demonstrating the viability of their proposed venture.

Conditions and requirements

A core prerequisite of receiving the grant is the creation of new employment. Every recipient is strictly obliged to create at least one new job, which serves as a primary state objective for stimulating employment and generating local tax revenue.

Applicants must undergo a mandatory business reputation assessment as part of the state evaluation process. Following approval by the authorised state body, recipients must open a designated bank account to receive and manage the awarded grant capital.

Practical tip. Ensure your business plan directly links your planned capital expenditures to your hiring timeline, as meeting the mandatory requirement to create at least one official workplace is non-negotiable for project approval.

How to apply

Applications must be prepared and submitted digitally via the government portal Diia. Candidates need to complete the official application form and upload their detailed business plan alongside the required documentation.

Once submitted, applications undergo a formal verification of business reputation followed by an official evaluation by the competent state authority. Successful applicants receive a formal grant award decision and proceed to open a specialised bank account for fund disbursement.
