“Own Business Workshop: Advanced”: grants of up to €5,000 for internally displaced women with children in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast to grow an existing business, apply by 13 November
The Child Well-being Fund Ukraine, in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe and with expert support from SILab Ukraine, has announced an open call for the “Own Business Workshop: Advanced” programme. The initiative is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office as part of an integrated full-cycle support project for vulnerable displaced persons in Ukraine.
The programme is designed as a one-month business development track for internally displaced women who manage active ventures and are raising children under 18. Following training, mentoring, and a final Demo Day pitch, five selected participants will receive business grants of up to EUR 5,000 each.
Applications must be submitted by 13 November 2026. The structured support curriculum officially commences with an intensive three-day in-person training session scheduled for 26-28 November 2026 in Kyiv.
What is funded
The financial assistance is targeted at scaling existing business operations and executing strategic development plans formulated during the workshop. Up to five successful participants will receive grants of up to EUR 5,000 each. Applicable statutory taxes, specifically 18% personal income tax (PIT) and a 5% military fee under Ukrainian legislation, will be withheld directly from the grant total.
Grant funds can be allocated toward business development directions refined throughout the programme. Eligible focus areas include production expansion, launching new products or services, strengthening sales and marketing systems, process automation, team development, and accessing new market channels.
Who can apply
Eligibility is restricted to women with official internally displaced person (IDP) status who are currently raising children under 18 years of age. Applicants must reside in Kyiv or Kyiv Oblast and already operate an active business that has demonstrated customer traction and initial commercial results.
Candidates must show readiness to systematically focus on venture growth and participate fully across all stages of the curriculum. The organizers note that completing the application form does not automatically guarantee admission into the programme.
Conditions and requirements
Selected participants must commit to full engagement throughout the one-month blended format. This includes mandatory presence at the three-day offline training in Kyiv on 26-28 November 2026, participation in online workshops, individual business consultations, completion of practical assignments, and ongoing cooperation with assigned business mentors.
During the competitive selection, the evaluation panel will assess the quality and innovativeness of the business solution, the viability of the business model, the leadership capacity and competence of the applicant, and the overall feasibility of the scaling roadmap.
Practical tip. Prepare verified data regarding your current business traction, revenue channels, and core bottlenecks before submitting, as the jury places significant weight on realistic planning and the immediate scalability of your operating model.
How to apply
Applicants must submit an online application form by 13 November 2026. Late submissions will not be admitted to the competitive review process.
The shortlisting process determines admittance into the training phase starting on 26 November 2026. Following the educational modules, mentorship sessions, and individual consultations, participants will present their growth plans and financial budget allocations before an expert jury at the final offline Demo Day.
