ZMINA:Resilience: grants of up to €50,000 for showcasing Ukrainian art projects in Europe
The ZMINA:Resilience project has launched an international continuous open call titled Support for the Dissemination of International Cooperation Projects. The initiative is implemented by IZOLYATSIA Foundation (Ukraine), Malý Berlín (Slovakia), and Trans Europe Halles (Sweden) under the European Union’s Creative Europe programme framework. The total allocation for this strand is €950,000, with expected awards ranging between 19 and 25 sub-grants.
Grants provide up to €50,000 per project, which covers up to 90% of eligible expenditure, requiring applicants to contribute at least 10% in co-financing. The call operates continuously across four selection rounds over 16 months, with the earliest listed deadline set for 14 December 2026, followed by cut-off dates on 15 March, 14 June, and 15 October 2027.
Selected initiatives must present co-created cultural and artistic works across international borders, involving mandatory public events in both Ukraine and other Creative Europe participating countries to build cross-border visibility and audience engagement.
What is funded
The grant supports the touring and presentation of co-created artistic works exploring the theme of resilience. All cultural and creative sectors are eligible, with the exception of the audiovisual sector. Projects must focus on audience reach, contextualisation, translation, collaboration with local practitioners, and community engagement.
Eligible activities include preparation, rehearsals, production efforts, travel, and public presentation events. Each project must organise at least six public presentation events, with a mandatory minimum of three events in each participating country. Due to security considerations in Ukraine, presentation events there may be hosted in hybrid or online formats.
Project budgets accommodate a combination of unit costs and actual costs. Fixed rates apply to artist working time (€75 per person/day), international travel (€350 round-trip), local travel (€65 round-trip), green travel support (€300), accommodation and per diems (€75/night), and visa expenses (€80). Actual costs are permitted for shipping, equipment depreciation, production services, marketing, and administration capped at 20% of the total budget.
Who can apply
Applications are open to cultural and arts organisations registered in Creative Europe participating countries, covering both EU Member States and non-EU participating states. Ukrainian entities must be legally registered in territories under the effective control of the Government of Ukraine.
Proposals must be submitted by a single lead applicant representing a partnership of at least two organisations from at least two countries, with one partner necessarily based in Ukraine. The donor expects equitable partnerships where all partners share joint responsibility, contribute balanced roles, and foster mutual cross-border audience exchange.
Conditions and requirements
Grant funding covers up to 90% of total project costs, up to the maximum limit of €50,000. Beneficiaries must provide the remaining minimum 10% as a monetary co-financing contribution that is officially recorded in accounting reports, as in-kind contributions are not accepted.
A key geographic restriction mandates that presentation events cannot take place in the home city of any applicant or partner organisation. The maximum implementation timeline for supported projects is up to 7 months, with eligible expenditures only recognized after the sub-grant agreement is signed. Disbursements are structured as 70% in pre-financing and 30% upon approval of the final report.
Practical tip. When choosing venues, strictly verify that none of the public presentations are located in the home municipalities of your consortium partners, and ensure your 10% co-financing is budgeted purely in cash rather than in-kind services to prevent technical rejection.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted via the donor’s online platform before the respective cut-off round deadlines. The technical screening verifies the completeness of the application form, the formal eligibility of all consortium partners, budget thresholds, and standard attachment formatting.
Applicants can take advantage of support mechanisms organised by the consortium, including weekly online consultations and scheduled partner-matching sessions, including one planned for 14 October 2026. Evaluation results are announced approximately two months after each round deadline.
Applications are submitted on the donor’s page: platform.izolyatsia.org.
