Civil Society Cooperation Platforms: grants of up to UAH 1 million for Ukrainian NGOs, apply by 28 December
ISAR Ednannia has launched the second wave of its grant call titled ‘Civil Society Cooperation Platforms’. The initiative offers grants of up to UAH 1,000,000 to Ukrainian civil society organisations, charitable foundations, and local government associations to establish collaborative platforms addressing critical community challenges.
The competition operates on a continuous, rolling basis, meaning applications are assessed as they are submitted rather than after a single closing date. The ultimate deadline for project submissions is 28 December 2026, though prospective applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals well ahead of the final cut-off.
Funding aims to support structured collaboration models that unite non-governmental organisations with authorities, businesses, and other stakeholders to achieve tangible, sustainable outcomes for local recovery and institutional capacity building.
What is funded
The grant supports cooperation platforms designed as cohesive operational formats rather than isolated one-off events. Each initiative must feature at least one major public open event, such as a regional mini-forum or cross-sectoral conference, and may include accompanying activities like community-of-practice meetings, training sessions, consultations, and coordination gatherings.
Supported activities fall under three core priorities. Priority 1 focuses on strengthening CSO capacity through shared expertise, institutional resilience, and strategic development. Priority 2 backs recovery platforms where CSOs, local authorities, and businesses collaborate on community challenges such as social services, healthcare, education, and employment. Priority 3 funds advocacy platforms aimed at developing joint positions, policy improvements, and civic participation in decision-making.
The donor stresses that funded initiatives must lead to measurable outcomes. These outcomes include new management models, policy recommendations, community recovery initiatives, and sustained partnerships that continue operating after the grant period ends.
Who can apply
Eligibility is restricted to experienced and capable Ukrainian organisations officially registered in accordance with national legislation. Eligible legal entities include public associations, charitable organisations, and associations of local self-government bodies.
Applicants must be officially included in the Register of Non-Profit Organisations with appropriate non-profit status codes (specifically 0032, 0036, 0038, or 0039). In addition, applicant organisations must have at least one full year of operational experience working in the chosen priority areas of this call.
Practical tip. Ensure that your non-profit registration status is up to date and verify that your annual reports or portfolio clearly document at least 12 months of prior work in capacity building, community recovery, or advocacy before drafting your application.
Conditions and requirements
Grant allocations are capped at UAH 1,000,000 per supported platform. The format and content of each project proposal must be justified by expected changes and long-term results rather than simply scheduling a calendar of events.
All platforms must be oriented toward achieving a sustainable effect that outlasts the funded period. The donor expects projects to generate tangible instruments, formal recommendations, or institutionalised cooperation models that remain in practical use by participants beyond the project duration.
Because the call runs on a rolling basis, proposals are evaluated progressively throughout the intake window. Applicants should avoid waiting for the final deadline in late 2026, as funds are allocated continuously as quality proposals are reviewed.
How to apply
Project proposals must be prepared strictly in accordance with the donor’s official guidelines and submitted through the ISAR Ednannia portal. Organisations must register an account and complete the application forms outlining their platform structure, proposed public events, and anticipated impact.
The application intake will remain open until 28 December 2026. Applicants requiring clarification regarding competition terms can contact the donor’s toll-free helpline for grant competitions.
Applications are submitted on the donor’s page: ednannia.ua.
